The new version 4.0 of the Carlinkit adapter allows you to wirelessly connect the original car's built-in Apple CarPlay to Wireless CarPlay/Wireless Android Auto. The adapter upgrade turns your wired CarPlay into wireless CarPlay/wireless Android Auto.
It is compatible with vehicles such as Audi, Porsche, Volvo, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Honda Civic CR-V, Peugeot Chevrolet, Ford SYNC 3.4, Artz, etc., which have factory wired CarPlay functionality.
To use Wireless CarPlay, your car must be factory equipped with wired CarPlay. The Carlinkit 4.0 wireless adapter is compatible with all iPhones from 5 (running iOS 7.1) to 13 Pro MAX.
The connection of the Carlinkit device depends on your phone and your car, but usually takes 7-14 seconds.
To use Wireless Android Auto, your car must be factory equipped with wired CarPlay. Wireless Android Auto supports all phones running Android 11+, Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy phones running Android 10, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note8 running Android 9.
If your phone doesn't support wireless Android Auto, you don't have to worry as our products also support wired Android Auto.
